Cutting out of elements

Precise cutting out of heat exchanger elements from large-size metal plates, up to 180 mm thick, is performed on CNC water jet cutter with the working surface of 4,000 x 4,000 mm. Another machine that we use for cutting out heat exchanger components is a CNC plasma cutter with the working surface of 2,000 x 4,000 mm, and the capacity to cut stainless steel plates up to 25 mm thick.

Large-size rolling

Tube sheets of heat exchangers are most often made from uniform plate or a large size forging. Rolling of such tube sheets is performed on a vertical lathe with rolling diameter up to 3200 mm.

Deep drilling

Heat exchangers with the highest operational parameters require tube sheets up to 500 mm thick. Drilling in such thick elements is performed with gun drills, among others. Drilling, up to 360 mm, is performed on the CNC controlled machining center.

Rolling of exchanger shells

Heat exchanger shells are made from metal sheets. They are rolled on NC controlled rolls.

Submerged arc welding of exchanger shells

To assure the high quality of welded connections, we use an NC controlled submerged arc (SAW) welding machine. The thickness of the welded connections is up to 100 mm.

Bending of tubes

In U-tube exchangers, bent tubes, the so-called U-tubes are used. Such U-tubes, of any radius and length, are prefabricated on a tube bending machine.


Grit blasting of steel surfaces

The cleaning of metal surfaces to remove rust, paint and varnish deposits prior to applying anti-corrosion coatings must be done by blast cleaning in a grit blasting chamber.

Application of anti-corrosion coatings

To assure a better durability of heat exchangers, their metal surfaces are covered with anti-corrosion coatings. We apply the coatings in a drier chamber that allows for the proper parameters of the anti-corrosion coating to be obtained, by:

  • standard application of varnish and paint coatings,
  • application of coatings using the electrostatic method "air-coat".

We also offer metal plating of tube sheets using the arc spraying method.
